
In the 1980's, photographers Eileen Lewis and Larry Clark were both instrumental in mentoring the young Paula Gately Tillman. Through serendipity she met Brant Mewborn, then senior editor at Rolling Stone, who guided Tillman to work as a publicity photographer for Funtone USA, for whom she shot the NYC downtown glitterati.
Paula Gately Tillman currently lives and works in Baltimore, Maryland. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally.
Gately Tillman's work is in numerous collections.
